Worcester Academy Performing Arts Camp

Worcester Academy Performing Arts Camp interweaves theatre, music and art in a performing arts program for boys and girls ages 7 to 14. Each two-week session concludes with performances of original musical plays, the focal point of our arts classes. Our revolving repertoire of 15 shows allows us to present different plays each session. Campers develop skills in major elements of musical theater: acting, movement, singing, instrumental music and scenery/props. Each session is limited to 45 campers, divided by age into three groups. Expert faculty work with counselors to address the individual needs of our campers. All campers are involved in two plays, in one as an actor/ singer/scenic artist, and in a second as an instrumentalist in the pit band. Our approach gives campers experience in all aspects of the productions, letting them develop their strengths and explore new directions.
