Donald Irving has taught at Worcester Academy since 1985. As director of the upper school choral program he guides students in chorus, advanced chorus, and our select ensemble, the Academy Singers, maintaining close contact through classes, rehearsals, and individual lessons. He is the music director of Worcester Academy’s annual musical and has written many of the musicals performed at Performing Arts Camp each summer.
Renee Malowitz, Director Clay Camps and Visual Arts Camp
Renee Malowitz joined the Worcester Academy faculty in 2014. At WA she teaches Ceramics and runs the after school art program. She is a teaching artist who has taught children of all ages throughout Central Massachusetts. For the past 15 years her teaching venues have been as varied as: summer camps, Mass Cultural Council Grant workshops and independent schools. She holds a diploma from The School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and has studied at Worcester Art Museum and the Worcester Center for Crafts. Her classes are fun, fast paced and challenging, she teaches a variety of clay techniques and draws from art history to inspire children.
