Volleyball Camp

The summer volleyball camp introduces a wide range of skills throughout the week including passing, serving (overhand) ,setting, and hitting.  Each day ends with small-sided games where good sportsmanship and teamwork are encouraged.  

This summer program is appropriate for volleyball players ranging from beginners to those who are well versed in the sport. 

About the Director

Beth Ryder is the current Worcester Academy Girls Varsity Volleyball Coach.  She played volleyball at Eastern Connecticut State University where she led her team to back to back NCAA’s tournament.  She was All-New England her senior year.  She also coached at Hopkinton High School and was named Tri-Valley league coach of the year as she led her team to the MIAA playoffs.

What to Bring

Schedule
  • 9:00 am – On court skills and drills (designed to teach the fundamental volleyball skills including: serving, passing, setting, hitting, digging and blocking)
  • 12:30 pm – Lunch
  • 1:30 pm – Team work (learn offenses, defenses, offensive plays and work on team-building)
  • 3:00 pm – Pick up*

*Please note that camp has a 12:00 pm pick up on Friday.
