Will you be joining us at Worcester Academy as an international student next year? We offer an online summer program course especially for you, designed to set you on the perfect path for a successful school year.
Course Description | |
This summer course offers students an opportunity to practice and gain confidence in their English language skills while also becoming oriented to the types of formal discussions, group work, and academic texts they will encounter regularly in their Worcester Academy classrooms. |
|
Course Structure | |
The course will meet Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. EST over six weeks (June 21 - July 30). Monday class: Students should expect to have supervised but asynchronous work (such as reading, taking notes, and asking clarifying questions of the teacher). Wednesday class: Group or partner work based on the reading. Friday class: A formal whole class discussion or a presentation. This structure mirrors humanities courses at WA. |
