Matthew Miller is a Physics Teacher at Worcester Academy who joined as faculty in 2016. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Biomedical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University and a PhD in Biomechanics from the University of Pittsburgh, where he studied the biomechanical effects of rotator cuff tears at the Orthopaedic Robotics Laboratory. Since joining Worcester Academy, he has taught Engineering, Scientific Literacy, Honors Physics, and AP Physics 2, and is a mentor for the Worcester Academy VEX and FRC Robotics Team.

Donald Irving has taught at Worcester Academy since 1985 and is Chair of the Visual and Performing Arts Department.  As director of the upper school choral program he guides students in chorus, advanced chorus, and our select ensemble, the Academy Singers, maintaining close contact through classes, rehearsals, and individual lessons. He is the music director of Worcester Academy’s annual musical and has written many of the musicals performed each summer.

Ed Reilly is the Director of Athletics at Worcester Academy. Ed was Head Basketball Coach at Bryant College (1989-2001). He was also Assistant Basketball Coach at Holy Cross (1982- 1989), Princeton University (1980-1982) and Brown University (1978-1980), as well as the former Director of the Eddie Reilly Basketball School. Ed has over 30 years experience as a camp director and clinician and was recently inducted into the NE Basketball Hall of Fame.

James Proctor serves as camp director and is also the Varsity Boys Head Soccer Coach at Worcester Academy. James just finished his 14th year at the helm of the Worcester Academy boys soccer program—compiling a 157-55-37 record, which includes one final, four New England Prep semi-finals and nine New England Prep quarter-final appearances. James currently holds a United States Soccer Federation “B” coaching license. In 2007 James was the NSCAA Mass Prep School Boys Soccer Coach of the year. Before moving into full-time coaching, James was a professional soccer player for 13 years and played in both England and the United States.
