Musical Theater

Worcester Academy’s Performing Arts Camp is a performing arts program for students aged 7 to 14. The two-week session includes practice and rehearsal time for acting, music, and stagecraft skills, and culminates with performances of two original one-act musicals, one for our older camps and other for our younger campers.

We have over a dozen shows in our repertoire, which we rotate and adapt as needed to the strengths and skills of the current casts. Campers receive ample attention from expert faculty, aided by counselors, developing skills in major elements of musical theater: acting, movement, singing, and stagecraft. Our approach gives campers experience in many aspects of the production process, letting them develop their strengths and explore new sides of theater they may not have known about. Recent productions include the following:
 The Dream of Angus Og
– The Legend of the Bluebonnet
– Percy’s Pickles
– The Seven Ravens
– The Dancing Princesses

And many more!
